Soft and chewy sugar cookie bars filled with chopped up green Halloween themed kitkat candy bars. Everyone will love these easy chewy sugar cookie bars with a fun Halloween twist. They make the perfect easy treat to bake this Halloween season.

The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, except for the addition of chopped up Halloween kitkat candy bars. Spread the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish and bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Halloween Kitkat Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped Halloween kitkat candy bars

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the kitkat candy bars. Spread the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
