Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and chewy cookies for Halloween. They are made purple, green and orange using food coloring, and they are filled with chocolate chips. Everyone will love these easy and chewy cookies this fall or Halloween season.

The cookie dough is made like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, except that it is divided into three bowls. One is mixed with purple food coloring, one with green, and one with orange. Fold chocolate chips evenly into each cookie dough. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll into balls. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • purple, orange, and green food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined.
  • Divide the cookie dough into three bowls. Mix one with purple food coloring, one with orange, and one with green. Fold 1/3 cup chocolate chips into each cookie dough.
  • Take a small amount of each cookie dough from each bowl, and roll together into balls. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
