Banana Sugar Cookies

Soft and chewy banana cookies made like sugar cookies, but with mashed bananas added to the cookie dough. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies and the delicious banana flavors. They are perfect to bake for any occasion.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough, except for the addition of mashed banana to the cookie dough. Use a cookie scoop to place the cookies onto a large baking sheet. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Banana Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large banana, mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix butter with mashed banana and sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth. Add in the flour mixture until it is fully combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop to place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
