Soft and chewy sugar cookies made with red and blue food coloring to make them red, white and blue for the fourth of July. The cookies are also filled with white chocolate chips. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the sugar cookies and delicious white chocolate flavors.
The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, then it is divided between three bowls. Mix red food coloring into one and blue into the other. And leave the third plain. Mix chocolate chips into each cookie dough, and roll small amount of the each cookie dough together into balls. Place onto a baking sheet and bake until they are fully cooked through.

- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar together until smooth.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Divide the cookie dough between three bowls.
- Add red food coloring to one bowl, and blue to another. Mix 1/3 chocolate chips into each bowl. Take a small amount of cookie dough from each bowl and roll together into balls.
- Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
