Cake Mix Gingerbread Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Soft and chewy cookie bars made with a box of cake mix and filled with molasses and chocolate chips. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the bars and delicious gingerbread and chocolate flavors.They make the perfect easy treat to bake this Christmas.

The only five ingredients that you need is a box of spice cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, molasses, and chocolate chips. Mix all of the ingredients together until it is smooth. Spread the batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake until the center of the cookie bars comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box spice cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and molasses until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
