Air-Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

Crispy breaded green tomato slices cooked in the air-fryer. Cooking these easy green tomatoes in the air-fryer makes these easy tomatoes crispy without all of the extra oil. Everyone will love these easy crispy tomatoes for a delicious crispy appetizer for any meal.

The tomatoes are sliced, and breaded in first a mixture of egg and milk, then coated in flour, dipped back into the egg mixture, and fully coated in a mixture of cornmeal and breadcrumbs. Air-fry the tomatoes in batches until crispy and lightly browned.

Air-Fryer Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound green tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air-fryer to 400 F. In a shallow dish, whisk egg and milk together. In another shallow dish, place flour. Combined cornmeal and breadcrumbs in another shallow dish.
  2. Coat each green tomato slice in the egg mixture, then coat in the flour, coat back into the egg, then coat in the cornmeal and breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Air-fry in batches for 10-12 minutes.
