Cream Cheese Snickerdoodle Cookies

Soft and fluffy homemade snickerdoodle cookies made with cream cheese. The cream cheese makes these cookies more soft and fluffy. Everyone will love these easy cookies for any holiday or occasion, with all of the classic flavors of a snickerdoodle cookies and the soft and chewy texture of the cookies.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough, except that cream cheese is mixed with the butter and sugar. Once the dough is prepared, roll it into balls, and roll each ball into a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet, and bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Cream Cheese Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. In a large bowl, combine butter with cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
