Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies filled with both semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips. The combination of these two types of chocolate go perfectly together in these cookies. These soft and chewy cookies make a delicious and easy dessert for just about any holiday or occasion.

The cookie dough is started like a classic sugar cookie dough, then semi-sweet and white chocolate chips are both added into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until they are fully cooked through.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in both chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
