Soft and chewy oatmeal cookies with chocolate M&M candy. These easy chewy oatmeal cookies are sweet and delicious. The M&Ms add a tasty chocolate flavor to these cookies. Everyone will love these delicious cookie for just about any holiday or occasion.

The cookie dough is made just like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, except with the addition of M&Ms folded into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Let them cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups quick oats
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup M&Ms

Method

 

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
2. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the M&Ms.
3. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking dish at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
