The cookie dough is then pressed into a square baking dish and baked until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Valentine's Day Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Valentine's day sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the sprinkles.
  3. Press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
