The cookie dough is made like a classic peanut butter cookie, then the crushed Oreo cookies are folded into the cookie dough. Press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish and bake until the cookie bars come out clean in the center. Let them cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
Oreo Peanut Butter Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
