Chocolate Peppermint Crinkle Cookies

Sharing is caring!

Soft and chewy delicious chocolate cookies filled with peppermint flavor. These chocolate peppermint crinkle cookies are given the classic crinkle look because they are baked with powdered sugar. They make the perfect Christmas cookies with the peppermint flavor, or for any other occasion. They have a flavor that is similar to thin mints, but are more soft and chewy.

The dough for these cookies is started with creaming butter and sugar together until fluffy. Egg and peppermint extract are mixed into the mixture. A dry mixture of flour and cocoa powder are added to the creamed butter, and mixed until a thick dough forms. Place the powdered sugar into a shallow dish, and roll the cookie dough into balls, then into the powdered sugar, covering it completely. Place the cookies onto baking sheets, and bake until they are fully cooked through in the center. Let cool completely on cooling racks before serving.
