The dough for these cookies is started with a classic chocolate chip cookie dough. If you want to save on time, instead of making the cookie dough yourself, you can use pre-made cookie dough. Roll the prepared cookie dough into balls, and flatten them slightly. Place one candy cane kiss on each cookie dough piece, and roll the dough into a ball, covering the chocolate kiss fully. Place them onto a large baking sheet, and bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Let cool completely on cooling racks before serving.
Peppermint Kiss Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- candy cane kisses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until a thick dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Roll the cookie dough into balls, and flatten slightly, place one chocolate kiss onto each cookie dough, and roll into a ball.
- Place cookies at least 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
